THE DIGITAL WORKBENCH

A closer look
at the details.

Places, objects, and small things worth looking at twice. Explore six personal studies, along with the drafts, dimensions, and decisions behind each one. All project images are digital renders; physical print quality and fit remain untested.

These are personal digital design studies, not products for sale or finished physical print photos. Source and creator credits are listed in the project notes.

TWO WAYS TO BEGIN

A file. A sketch.
A very specific idea.

You don't need to know CAD. Start with what you want to make and what matters most about it.

A

“I have an idea.”

Bring your sketches, dimensions, and references. We'll define the model together, review previews, and refine the details through the agreed revisions before final delivery.

Explore a design commission
B

“I have a 3D file.”

I'll review the model, its scale, and your intended use. We can scope editing, conversion, or print preparation, with formats and any physical production agreed in your quote.

Start with your model

Every project is quoted after review. Design, file preparation, and physical printing are priced according to your chosen scope. Inquiries are reviewed before a scope and quote are agreed. This website takes no payments.

CHOOSE YOUR FINISH LINE

The files. The print.
Or both.

A digital model can be the whole commission. You don't have to order a physical print. We'll agree what you need, work through the design together, and deliver the files for your project.

01 / YOUR SCREEN

Files only

Get a custom model to print yourself, send to your chosen printer, or use in a game, scene, or other modeling project. We'll agree the formats and intended software before work begins.

Plan a digital model
02 / YOUR SHELF

A physical print

Have an existing model made in resin, with preparation, finish, and delivery agreed in your quote. Any model changes are reviewed with you first.

Plan a resin print
03 / BOTH WORLDS

Files + a print

Receive the finished resin piece and the agreed digital files, so you can keep working with the design after it arrives.

Plan the whole project

Original commissioned files are for you to print, edit, and use in your own personal or commercial projects. The quote records those uses and identifies any separate terms for third-party content.

MADE WITH YOU

Your input.
At every milestone.

We work toward the model you want through a clear brief, shared previews, and agreed revisions. You know what you're receiving before the final handoff.

  1. 01

    Tell me the idea.

Describe the result, its use, and whether you want files, a print, or both. We agree the scope, price, and schedule.

  2. 02

    Shape it together.

Review previews and give feedback on the details. The quote sets clear review points and revision rounds, so feedback has a place in the process.

  3. 03

    Approve the model.

Confirm the final version and agreed file requirements. If you've chosen a print, production follows your approval.

  4. 04

    Receive the whole project.

Receive the agreed model files and usage notes. Physical orders also include an inspected, packed print and delivery tracking.

YOUR DIGITAL HANDOFF

Keep creating
with your model.

Print it. Build a scene with it. Make it part of your next project.

For an original modeling commission, your Project Archive includes the agreed exports, the editable source used to create the model, and helpful notes. Digital-only delivery is a complete service.

Formats depend on the job. A supplied mesh doesn't create missing original CAD. Game exports, textures, rigging, and animation are included only when agreed in the scope.

YOUR MAKER

Hi, I'm Avery.

I like turning a rough idea into a model you can do something with.

At Detailwell 3D, you work directly with me. We'll talk through what matters, look at the design together, and refine it for the way you want to use it—from a piece on your shelf to a model in your next digital project.

The work starts with how you want to use the model. A printable miniature and an asset for a digital scene need different decisions. We agree those requirements early, then review the result together.

The studies above show my modeling and print-preparation process. Physical fit, materials, and software compatibility are checked for the needs of each commission.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

A few useful
details.

Can I start with only an idea?+

Yes. Describe the result, approximate size, and intended use. Sketches help. Accurate reconstruction needs measurements and several views; one photograph cannot establish hidden geometry. A brief feasibility conversation is free; design development is scoped paid work.

Can I order just the files?+

Yes. Digital-only commissions are welcome. I'll work with you on the model and deliver the agreed files, with no physical print required. Use them to print on your own equipment, work with another print service, or build your game, scene, or modeling project.

Can you make a model for my game or scene?+

Yes—bring the idea and tell me about your software or engine. We'll agree the scale, level of detail, file format, and any texture, rigging, or animation requirements before quoting. Print and game models can need different preparation; compatibility and included features are checked for the agreed use.

What files can I bring or receive?+

STL and 3MF are common print-delivery options. Digital projects may use Blender source, OBJ, FBX, or GLB/glTF exports, depending on the agreed workflow and compatibility checks. STEP requires valid solid CAD. Include your software, intended units, and a known dimension where relevant. PNG, JPG, and PDF references also help. Attach supported files in the inquiry form. Contact me first for larger files or formats outside the upload list.

Are prints painted or full color?+

The standard finish is an unpainted, single-color resin print, with the material and finish confirmed in your quote. Colors in renders illustrate design ideas. Painting, decals, specialist materials, and assembly are separate services only if agreed and validated.

Can you make a large model or several copies?+

I'll review the full oriented model with supports and clearance. Multipart designs may need test sections, seams and an assembly plan. Copies are quoted for actual production work; a reorder can save design time, but doesn't remove print and inspection work.

How do updates and revisions work?+

The quote defines checkpoints and timing. The quote specifies the included revision rounds and review milestones before work starts. Corrections to my own errors don't use your rounds. Changes to the approved brief can change price and schedule. You approve the final model before delivery; any physical printing also requires your explicit approval.

What files do I get, and can I reuse them?+

Original commissions include the agreed exports, editable source, previews, and notes. You can print, edit, and use your original commissioned model in your own personal or commercial games, scenes, and other projects. We record those uses in the quote. Any third-party assets retain their own terms, identified before work begins. Exclusivity or resale of the model files themselves can be discussed in the brief.

How long does it take, and where do you ship?+

Digital projects have a design, review, and file-delivery schedule, with no shipping charge. Physical orders add production and carrier transit. Destination, availability, and postage are confirmed in the quote before you commit. Timing is agreed for each project.

What if something arrives damaged?+

Contact me through the order channel with photos of the item and packaging, if available. Keep the packaging while we resolve the issue. We'll review the issue and agree the appropriate next step, including a repair, remake, or refund where applicable. Approval of the design does not waive defects or transit obligations.

What uses are outside the physical-print service?+

Food-contact products, medical or dental uses, child or pet chew toys, prolonged skin contact, and safety-critical or load-bearing parts are outside the initial shop scope. Fine projections can be fragile. I won't promise a tolerance or material property without relevant validation.
